ICO recognizes that the only way to overcome the problem of Internet Crime is to join the efforts of interested parties which requires unprecedented collaboration and cooperation between government entities (including law enforcement agencies), the Internet industry. This is why ICO, independent by nature, is in fact dependent on a spirit of goodwill and collaboration among moderate numbers of organisations and people. From the other side significant and supplemental to partnering with law enforcement and regulatory agencies, it will remain a priority objective of the ICO to establish effective alliances with industry. Such alliances will enable the ICO to leverage both intelligence and subject matter expert resources, pivotal in identifying and in crafting an aggressive, proactive approach to combating cyber crime.
